Data Analyst - Cross Border Fulfillment Warehouse

Summary: 

As a Data Analyst in Shopee, your new role would be to drive analysis and provide business insights to support the growth and expansion of the warehousing segment. As soon as a project is assigned, you will be accountable to understand the requirements, lay down the process, provide a timeline, collaborate with the team & stakeholders while performing the technical functions of extracting, cleaning, structuring, massaging and analysing the data using primarily Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language that results in insights and recommendations that will be presented to the business. You will also be required to provide reports to the business as at when needed. You will be working with a team to execute the given projects while reporting into the project team. If you excel in critical thinking and possess the ability to digest a complex set of data, this would be the role for you. 

Job Description: 

• Establish processes to collect and analyse internal and external market data to derive operation insights
• Extract data from data warehouse using SQL, clean the data, apply functions & formulas to ensure data is structured, massage & analyse the data
• Develop operations strategies and support the operation and logistic teams in executing the strategies
• Establish processes and identify appropriate indicators to monitor performance and progress
• Be the oracle that can spot dangers and pitfalls down-the-road by analysing trends and taking a critical view of existing operation strategy
• Automate reporting processes as needed by the team and the company

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in numerical/analytical field is preferred 
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL is a must
• Knowledge in Python is an added advantage
• Can be based in Seksyen 22, Shah Alam, Selangor
• Minimum 1 years of working experience in data analysis related work 
• Proficiency in automation of tasks and reports
• Systematic thinker with the ability to understand the holistic picture and complex consideration
• Ability to present complex ideas and solutions in a structured manner
