BI ETL Developer

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join our Business Intelligence Solutions teams as an ETL Developer! This role will take charge of database integrations, monitoring existing data, and troubleshooting data inaccuracies as needed. This role is based out of the Regional office in Singapore and reports to the broader MIS function.

What you will be doing

• Fine tune performance of ETL, stored procedures, and reports to keep databases and applications optimized; identify root causes in case of failures
• Work with technical and business teams to review, analyze and define requirements for new development and enhancements to/maintenance of existing systems
• Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and external sources; as well as ensure data is verified and quality is maintained
• Design and implement data marts, meta data, and data models
• Create technical documentation on database content, ETL and mapping between databases
• Troubleshoot data/report/database issues from end-to-end to identify root cause
• Routine support of user issues and queries logged in helpdesk ticketing system as well as extended support during budget cycle

Requirements

The successful applicant

Essential

• Degree in Business Intelligence, IT or related disciplines
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business intelligence or in a similar role
• Strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL and SSIS. SSAS, SSRS knowledge
• Experience in modelling and designing relational DBs, star schemas, and cubes
• Report development experience in the following tools: Tableau, Cognos
• Working knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager
• Good knowledge of at least one of the functional areas: finance reporting, customer relationships and sales, freight forwarding and logistics operations
• Knowledge of OLAP solutions and MDX (TM1 especially)
• Able to work independently
