The Role
The Senior Analyst of Worldwide Commercial Insights will work with the Senior Director of Sales Analytics & VP of Commercial Operations & BD on all items related to data and measurement. This role will be a key member of the NewCo team in providing consistent metrics, visualization, and definitions across the NewCo Business Units.
The right person for this role has strong data extraction skills (advanced SQL), strong technical skills (Python), strong business acumen, ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units and geographies, and a deep analytical background to help in assessing business performance, developing insights (building dashboards end-to-end), creating efficiencies, and delivering results to the NewCo Business Unit as they continue to scale. Our goal is to create metrics and measure success of programs, build automated mechanisms for internal planning, and invent new ways of diving deep with data to drive specific business outcomes that will help us serve our customers in smoothing access to live saving therapies. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual that seeks to “tell the story” of the data.
This role will switch between helping a Business Unit stand up NewCo metrics and reporting to being on an integration team during M&A to help them understand and align to key company metrics.
What You'll Do
- Work backwards from your end-customer to define, design, and execute each work item with an emphasis on improved metrics, productivity, and efficiency
- Design for scale (building blocks versus custom), integrate with other products, and ensure successful launch, sustainment, and continuous improvement
- Help define and prioritize insights and analytics projects for execution
- Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders while proactively identifying new areas of opportunity to drive further improvements
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Sales Operations and Finance business partners to build scalable solutions on behalf of your customers
- Systematize actionable insights via Business Intelligence tools, fostering a culture of data driven decisioning
- Proactively identify new technologies or systems that can be implemented to provide MMIT with a competitive edge in the rapid scale of our organization
- Continuously evolve data measurement infrastructure to progress to the point of predictive analytics
- Build predictive and self-learning business models for more accurate modeling and views of the business
- Ad hoc projects and periodic analyses as assigned by manager and Sales Leadership
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Extensive relevant experience with SQL, data visualization, and modeling. Experience with Data Lakes and Python is an advantage
- BI development and database systems knowledge such as Tableau, Domo, or Power BI
- Inquisitive nature and a passion for metrics and data
- Excellent systems skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools are required.
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders, including leadership; product ownership
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- A motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to tangible business results
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical information to internal and external customers or vendors
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet goals and deadlines
- Challenge the status quo and ask hard questions to ensure investment of time and resources is warranted
- Project Management or Tableau Certification (or similar for data visualization tools)
- Experience supporting a Technology, SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS sales organization
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Statistics or Mathematic.
