Manager of Data Engineering and Operations (Remote Opportunity)

The Manager of Data Engineering and Operations will oversee the building and running of data engineering across our platform and its clients. This Manager will oversee and guide a skilled team of data engineers in fulfilling the needs of the organization. The goal is to ensure that information flows timely and securely to and from the organization as well as within. (Hiring CST or EST Candidates)

Responsibilities:

• Create and enforce daily security measures and compliance policies
• Ensure and impose procedures for effective development and implementation of data handling processes
• Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data
• Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
• Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
• Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
• Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
• Support and optimize data exchange between Health Plans and our platform for the prospective In-office and retrospective
• Act as a stakeholder for data governance across the Vatica Enterprise

Requirements

• BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field or equivalent experience
• Proficient in cloud-based database and information system technologies (Azure experience preferred)
• 2+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry
• 2+ years’ experience with Agile SDLC
• 3+ years’ experience in managing data
• 3+ years’ experience in managing and leading a team of IT professionals
• Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
• An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong understanding of data analysis and ingestion procedures
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work autonomously with minimal direction
• Experienced working and managing a fully remote team
