Jr. Data Scientist

We are seeking a Jr. Data Scientist to join our Risk team. You will play an integral role in fraud and risk mitigation using skills including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns, analyze diverse data sets and work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to recommend solutions in an ambiguous environment.

Due to COVID-19, the position is remote until further notice.

What will you do?

• Leverage diverse data sources to analyze fraud trends and determine patterns in sophisticated fraud activity
• Proactively take action to improve efficiency by identifying new fraud techniques, models, and procedures
• Deploy countermeasures by implementing Machine Learning models and fraud rules
• Monitor and analyze the performance of the Machine Learning models and fraud rules, and continuously improve the efficacy of the models and rules
• Data visualization through tableau, and other tools
• Perform deep dives and write summaries of complex and sensitive escalations to senior leadership and merchants
• Work with internal teams to come up with action plans to address corrective and preventative measures to mitigate risk
• Work with cross-functional teams across Paramount Commerce to collaborate on fraud risks and investigations

• Communicate analytical insights to key fraud stakeholders through Dashboards, KPIs, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

You will have/be:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Business) • 1+ years of hands-on data analytics/science experience
• 1+ year of experience in Risk, Fraud, AML, or Compliance is a plus
• Experience working with Python and SQL
• Understanding of Machine learning concepts and models
