This role can be based in either or Johannesburg or our new Cape Town office. 

The role 

We’re looking for a Recruiter who has experience recruiting in the data science and data engineering space in South Africa. You know that Python is not just a snake, R is not something a pirate says and that finding an amazing data professional is a mixture of art and science. In essence, you’re a passionate Talent professional that cares deeply about finding the right person for the right role. You may be in-house currently or an Agency focused specialist in that market. The important thing is you take pride in your profession, are curious and want to acheive big growth ambitions. 

As well as partnering closely with the South African office, this role has a global remit, where you will contribute to the global team and learn the various talent markets that Quantium operate in, including the UK, US and ANZ 

We recruit in four main areas: 

• Analytics and Data Science 
• Consulting 
• Product & Engineering 
• Group Services 

Key responsibilities: 

As a Senior Recruitment Business Partner you'll be an integral part of the Global Talent Acquisition team and broader People & Culture function. Partnering closing with the business, you'll have accountability for the successful delivery of all approved and forecasted roles aligned to your specific market. 

• Partner closely with our various teams to understand their requirements, sourcing exceptional candidates and delivering an exceptional candidate experience 
• Develop a deep understanding of the data market in South Africa and use insights to build trust and credibility with stakeholders  
• Improve strategies, systems and processes to ensure hiring effectiveness and efficiency – There is ample opportunity to lead and / or get involved in various strategic projects we are working on across Talent Attraction, Operational Excellence, DE&I, Talent Experience etc 
• Contribute to team knowledge share sessions and raise the bar if the TA team 

Experience and education required: 

• 6+ years recruitment experience, ideally in a Professional Services / Technology environment 
• Experience developing sourcing strategies to attract niche talent  
• Proven experience working effectively with Mid to Senior level stakeholders 
• A strong track record delivering against tight deadlines and working in a fast paced, changing environment 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
