Senior Analytics Engineer

We are currently growing our data science & analytics team and are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer with a passion for data modeling and data quality. You will work in close collaboration with data engineers and data analysts to make sure that we have comprehensive and trustworthy data to surface insights and drive business impact.

As a member of our data science & analytics team, you will lead initiatives to improve our data modeling practices, organize our data pipelines, and ensure that we have the right data quality checks in place, so our datasets are reliable. To build empathy for data users, you will occasionally conduct analyses from the conception (requirements specification, log definition, data processing), all the way to the end result. You will be charged with understanding our business and our products, and creating the right data models that allow all data users to be more productive.

Prezi is a remote first company with hubs in Berlin, Budapest, Riga, and San Francisco. For this position, we are looking for someone in Europe, preferably close to or in Budapest. You will report to Balázs Szakács, Senior Director, Data Science and Analytics.

We work hand-in-hand with our leadership and cross functional teams to surface the right questions and provide high quality insights through deep-dive analyses and creating dashboards or other tools for future self-service and reuse. To surface the right data, we continuously iterate on our datasets to improve the reliability, quality, and accuracy of what is being used to make decisions. The analytics engineer role is at the heart of this operation and a key member of the team.

If you

• have 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data warehousing with large datasets
• have a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Physics, Social Sciences, or related areas
• have experience with writing and maintaining ELT pipelines
• have experience with any data transformation or data orchestration tool, like Airflow, Dagster, dbt
• have experience with data modeling, data quality monitoring, and data / BI architectures in general
• are proficient in data transformation in SQL and Python
• have effective written and verbal communication skills
