Job summary
AWS Textract is a managed ML service for Intelligent Document processing. It use state-of-the-art Vision AI to process text & information in images, videos and documents through solutions like OCR, Form Analysis, Table Extraction, Text Queries, and Document Classification. We also provide specialized ML solutions for various use-cases like procurement, mortgages and id-card analysis.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a senior engineering leader to own engineering & infrastructure for several products & features in AWS Textract Vision AI organization.

As a senior leader of this organization, you will be responsible for hiring and developing engineering leaders & software development team(s) responsible for building & operating vision AI products & services in the Intelligent Document processing space.

You will own the e2e technical strategy, execution & operations for these products through your team.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
• 5+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science with specialization in machine learning / computer vision
• 10+ years of relevant software development and engineering management experience
• Prior experience in building & operating large-scale ML applications.
• Experience leading several engineering teams for a distributed organization with several dev centers.




• Ability to hire world class talent and foster an environment of innovation.
• Experience developing long-term vision and strategy, and influencing leadership decisions.
