Data Engineer

You Will:

• Empower people across the business with easy access to relevant data
• Support Analysts and Data Scientists, so that they can easily iterate through data, set up new ETLs, and execute experiments. Help them set up automated reporting and deploy models to production
• Cooperate with software engineers in order to identify and implement the best ways to integrate data from source systems: Considering the business requirements, systems performance and data quality
• As part of the BI & analytics team build and extend the core data model in our cloud data warehouse: enriching and modeling raw data into the main business dimensions and facts for use in reporting and analytics

• Identify opportunities on how we can use modern tools and methods to automate and optimise our processes and solutions. Drive the adoption of your proposed changes by influencing stakeholders and colleagues
• As the team scales, support on hiring and onboarding of new engineers

Requirements

• You have a track record creating and managing modern and effective BI & analytics solutions including data integrations and pipelines, data models and reports.
• You have strong experience working with SQL and RDBMS. Ideally, you already worked with or even managed cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery.
• You have experience with data modeling and maybe already designed your first relational data models for business use.
• You have experience with ELT processes. Knowledge of associated tools like Fivetran and dbt is a plus.
• You have a solid understanding of software design principles and DevOps.
• You are a self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously and with teams located across our offices. You are not afraid to get your hands dirty, prioritise your focus based on impact, and are able to own a project from start to finish.
