We're looking for a talented and passionate Staff Data Engineer to join Wildlife's Experimentation team in São Paulo, Brazil. We are a remote-first company.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining data products that empower hundreds of users to use petabytes of data on a daily basis. You’ll be part of a team composed of software engineers that are constantly in touch with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists and the Business Intelligence team, leveraging our process, tools and pipelines in order to have an efficient analytics data layer and to scale our experimentation and A/B testing capabilities.

What you'll do

  • Build our data infrastructure to support experimentation at scale at Wildlife;
  • Be part of a high output team, directly contributing to feature development and maintenance;
  • Work proactively and closely with data scientists, product managers and business intelligence analysts to improve our information-rich data layer;
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and performance issues. Being proactive in identifying issues will be key for your success;
  • Advocate for data engineering best practices inside the team;

What you'll need

  • University degree in courses related to computing such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field;
  • 3+ years of experience working as a data engineer on technically challenging problems;
  • Programmer with SQL proficiency;
  • Experience creating data pipelines;
  • Knowledge and experience with Python or Spark;
  • Knowledge and experience with Airflow or other workflow management tool;
