Principal Research Scientist - QuillBot

Quilbot is Scaling: 

We are looking for a Principal Research Scientist, Natural Language Processing who can help us tackle challenging Natural Language Processing problems in the areas of Paraphrase Generation, Grammatical Error Correction, Summarization, Machine Translation, Document Understanding, Question Answering, and Text Classification.

You will be part of the core research team and will be responsible for building and shipping natural language processing solutions. 

At QuillBot, a Course Hero company, products powered by the core research team enable millions of users to rephrase their writing, find and fix grammatical errors, adapt their writing to a target audience, understand documents via summarization and simplification, and craft essays with integrated research tools.

 

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact!

• Craft and build solutions for previously untackled problems in computer-assisted writing and natural language generation
• Develop and deploy scalable neural network models into production to impact millions of people
• Collaborate with team members from other applied research teams working on a variety of problems in NLP and deep learning
• Specific areas of interest include multilingual paraphrasing, linguistic style transfer, and grammatical error correction

 

Are you our Principal Research Scientist, NLP?

• Master's degree or PhD and relevant experience in natural language processing or machine learning
• Experience developing and training neural models (language models, sequence-to-sequence models) for natural language generation
• Experience implementing and modifying neural network architectures (transformers, RNNs, CNNs) using deep learning toolkits
• Extensive experience in Python and deep learning toolkits (PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc.)
• Ability to think creatively about novel models, architectures, applications, and datasets
• Passion for research in natural language processing

This is a Full-Time REMOTE role for candidates located in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada.  This is a Full-Time REMOTE role for the following states: CA, NY, IL, AZ, UT, SC, OR, WA, TX, CO, IN, NJ, PA, VT, VA, MA.  Some state and location limitations apply.
