Senior Data Analyst (Central Finance Data Analytics)

Job Overview:

The position is a combination technical / strategic role working in close partnership with finance, business, and operations leaders. In this role you will required to deep dive into data (building SQL queries, using Python and other tools for analysis of varied structured data sets, building dashboards for results delivery / tracking, and creating automation) to help the business find opportunities for cost savings and growth. You will conduct financial and operational analysis and influence decisions in areas ranging from inventory management, pricing, returns, and more. This is a highly collaborative cross-functional role.

What you will do:

• Dive deep on Coupang’s high-priority initiatives to find, aggregate, and analyze key relevant data sources.
• Propose and execute analyses to test business hypotheses / identify opportunities for improvement through descriptive / predictive analytics.
• Perform root cause analysis; defining analytical framework, retrieving right data, working with data owners, drive insights, and provide options that lead to business decisions.
• Present solutions clearly to bring transparency to stakeholders in Senior Leadership.
• Contribute to automatic report (including dashboard) generation using business intelligence tools, to be utilized as part of continuous efficiency improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate complex financial / operational topics clearly and “tell the business stories”.
• Strong SQL skills – be able to quickly write and edit complex queries.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and organize large amounts of data and provide insight/recommendations
• Strong analytical thinking: be able to start with the problem statement, build and test hypotheses for root causes using data, and arrive at data backed solutions.
• Experience in developing new business processes, models and tools. 
• High level of process orientation and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with finance and non-finance leaders.
• Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
• Intermediate/expert level with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in producing reports in Tableau / PowerBI
• AirFlow / data automation experience is a plus but not necessary
• Intermediate R or Python familiarity is a plus but not necessary
• Direct experience in eCommerce, Retail or Operations is a plus but not necessary
• English proficiency
