Data Analyst - Research (All Levels)

We are building out a first-class Internal Analytics department composed of Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists. Within Internal Analytics, we’re launching a new team devoted to publishing cutting-edge research on state of the art technologies, such as serverless or container runtime platforms.

What You’ll Do: 

• Deep research and analysis on trends in the technology industry using our internal, high-scale data
• Distill that data to concise insights and communicate the findings to Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Community to help them tell a data-driven story to a public audience
• Work with our company-wide community of Data Analysts to push data-driven decision-making to the next level!
  

Who You Are:

• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent professional experience
• Fluent in writing analytical SQL and understand the difference between SQL that works and performant SQL
• A clear and concise communicator who can explain complex datasets or queries to non-technical people in understandable ways
• Someone with a natural curiosity and investigative mindset - driven to know “why”
• Excited to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment and thrive on both autonomy and collaboration
• (Senior Level) You have experience with Python or familiarity with Spark
