Doxee S.p.A. is an high-tech and international company specialized products for Customer Communications Management (CCM), Digital Customer Experience and Dematerialization.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Doxee has a lead CCM cloud based platforms that handles massive amount of transactional data mainly from large Italian and LATAM utility, telco and insurance companies. Our platform also handles large amount of web analytics interaction data of users with our Interactive Experience Products (Pvideo and Pweb) alongside distribution channels (email/sms) data. All this data alongside with third party data integration is now being pushed to Headlight our big data analytics layer that enables many different real time as well as batch use cases.

We are looking for a Data Architect to be inserted in a R&D team of data scientists, machine learning engineers and big data specialists to act as lead architect and help us gain useful insight out of raw data.

Data Architect responsibilities include interacting with the data science team, planning projects and building analytics models. Design cloud infrastructure for data management pipelines that can satisfy product owners functional requirements as well as ensure non functional requirements like performance monitoring, operations and cost management are met. Act as a technical team leader and mentor for other engineers in the team ensuring both personal skills development as well as team improvement.

You should have a strong problem-solving ability and a knack for statistical analysis. You should also be able to align our data products to our business goals interacting with product owners to be thin out separation from of the technical team to the end business goals.

Your ultimate goal will be to help improve our products and business decisions by making the most out of our data.

YOU WILL BE IN CHARGE OF :

  • Overseeing the data scientists team, machine learning engineers, and big data specialists;
  • Mentoring, leading, and counseling colleagues on new techniques or solutions;
  • Defining of technical solution for the requirements given by product owners;
  • Defining of Non-functional requirements including soft and hard limits;
  • Approval of functional solution (supplier and/or team);
  • Approval of technical solution (supplier and/or team);
  • Creation and maintenance if IaaS cost models;
  • Conception, planning, and prioritizing of data projects in form of epics and development stories for the team;
  • Execution of technological contribution requests by other teams in the company;
  • Spot and evaluate emerging/cutting edge, open source, data science/machine learning libraries/big data platforms (e.g. XGBoost, H2Oai, Spark, Hadoop, etc.) and execute proof of concepts;
  • Adhere to stringent quality assurance and documentation standards;
  • Alerting for functional anomalies to the Product Owner;
  • Build analytic systems and predictive models;
  • Test performance of data-driven products;
  • Interpret and analyze data problems and ensure that data projects align with organizational goals.

MORE ABOUT YOU:

  • You have proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role;
  • You Have knowledge of data management and visualization techniques;
  • You have degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or similar field;
  • You have experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark;
  • You have experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: Java (SpringBoot), Python, SLQ and NoSQL databases or other languages/technologies for performing complex data modeling and analysis;
  • You have experience using AWS services and infrastructure alongside aws cost models;
  • You have solid understanding of machine learning;
  • You have a knack for statistical analysis and predictive modeling;
  • You have excellent communication skills: as Technical Team Lead it's important to be able to relate with the team and convey informations effectively;
  • You have a business mindset to swiftly identify risky situations and opportunities, and able to generate creative solutions to business problems;
  • Flexibility: The world of information technology is dynamic so it is essential that the data architect is willing to try new things and fail, and welcome and embrace change
