We are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Group. Our data team is responsible for all aspects of data ingestion, storage, transformation, and analysis using modern tools and environments such as Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, Periscope, Kinesis, and AWS. You will work alongside our development and data science teams to help build and manage all of our data artifacts, systems, and product impacts.

• You will help us scale our data practice rapidly to meet our ambitious growth targets
• Your skills will enable our Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product teams to improve our products
• By collaborating and mentoring, you will help your team members reach their full potential
• By ensuring teams have access to the platforms, tools, and data sets required to drive understanding and product improvement, you will improve our ability to leverage data

Who You Are:

• Data engineer with experience in Python and PySpark
• Excited by the challenges that come with a rapidly growing and scaling company, and have thrived in this kind of environment
• Strong communicator, able to set a vision for your team and lead them to strong execution and delivery
• Your passion is coaching and mentoring - you thrive on seeing your team members grow and develop personally and professionally
• Taking on new challenges and a love for continuous learning without fear of stretching yourself outside of your comfort zone

Our Core Technologies:

• Platform: AWS, Airflow, Spark (Databricks), DBT, Snowflake
• Languages: Python, PySpark, Go
• Other: Terraform, Kubernetes, Fivetran, Segment.io

• Agile work flow experience
• Experience in the educational software space
• A strong passion for education
• Previous experience scaling in a startup environment
