What We Need

As we grow our slate of mobile titles, we are growing our marketing data science group and looking for its technical leader. The staff data scientist would be responsible for creating reporting frameworks, insights, predictive models, and strategies to help optimize spending decisions and drive the growth of our mobile games.

What You Will Do

  • Reporting: Develop and improve our marketing performance reporting platform. Enabling teams across the company to make data informed decisions.
  • Business Insight: Understand the problems our marketing teams want to solve. Define the right data, metrics, analysis, and interpretation to lead to the right recommendations and decisions.
  • Innovate: Define requirements for, create, continuously monitor and improve key statistical models needed for making marketing spend decisions. These may include predicting cohort yields, campaign performance, the impact of scaling spends, pricing, and lifetime value, models
  • Understand players: Use predictive modeling to establish behavior patterns that assist with player lifecycle management, such as propensity to buy, to spend, and churn; and correlate with marketing activity
  • Expertise: Be the in-house authority on the constantly evolving mobile marketing ecosystem, especially changes to attribution logic by Apple and Google. Incorporate these changes into our reporting, analyses, and models.
  • Mentor: Lead career development for team members from a technical perspective.

 What Will Make You a Great Fit  

  • Experience: 7+ years of work experience in data science or analytics role
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and guiding analysts and data scientists
  • Experience working with paid and unpaid marketing channels, multi-channel attribution, and media mix models
  • Superb communication skills, with a consistent record of working across all levels of the organization – having the information is one thing, you must be able to disseminate and educate.
  • SQL: The ability to write complex SQL queries to analyze our databases with millions of players and work with relational database systems.
  • Familiar with prominent infrastructures: Redshift, Snowflake, etc.
  • Visualization: Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau or Looker
  • Tech skill: Demonstrable experience with some or all of the following: statistics, experimental design, machine learning, predictive modeling, deep learning

Bonus Points 

  • Familiarity with massive data sets and tools to deal with them (E.g. AWS)
  • Knowledge and love for the NBA and WWE franchises preferred
