Consulting Data Scientist (Remote)

About the Role
We are looking for a Consulting Data Scientist to join our data science team on a permanent basis. As a data scientist, you will use your knowledge of statistics and classification models to help Altoida stay current with modern-day practices. As a consulting data scientist, you will be the voice of the science team towards clients. To do all this you will be backed by a team of data scientists and software engineers led by our Director of Data Science.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the clients and sales team about Altoida’s science offerings.
• Translate data science requests from clients into classification models and statistics.
• Monitor incoming data to meet Altoida’s quality requirements. 
• Improve Altoida’s machine learning models using your clinical insights.
• Assist in writing reports, publications, and patent applications.

About You

• You are sensitive to the client’s needs and can develop warm client relationships.
• You have proficient oral and written communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
• You have the ability to take initiative and produce results.
• You get excited about statistics, machine learning, and software programming.
• You have a master's degree in data science, statistics, biostatistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or an equivalent technical research-based field. A Ph.D. is a bonus

The full-time salary range is commensurate with experience.

LocationAltoida’s US headquarters is located in Washington, DC. The position is remote eligible, with minor travel expected.
