Software Engineer, Offboard Autonomy Infrastructure

About this teamThe offboard autonomy infrastructure group will be responsible for all the cloud infrastructure needed to run autonomy efficiently on the robots. These include tools like software and hardware in the loop simulation, ML training, log management, evaluation and deployment process, autonomy metrics tracking, autonomy data pipelines, autonomy - teleoperation communication. As an engineer on this team you will be contributing to the above projects to efficiently and effectively build the autonomy stack.

Responsibilities

• Offboard robot log management including sensor & module logs 
• Tools & analytics for searching, playing back and manipulating large scale robot logs supporting autonomy development
• Build and maintain simulation tools to evaluate autonomy
• Manage machine learning training, evaluation and deployment processes

Basic Qualifications

• Strong computer system fundamentals and proficiency in Go/Python or C/C++
• Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures 
• Excellent coding & architecture skills with well designed interfaces
• BS/MS/PhD or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related engineering field  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker
• Experience with databases & data warehousing
• Experience with autonomous vehicle, robotics or gaming industry
• Experience with large scale video based machine learning infrastructure for training, eval and deployment
