The team 
Our IT, InfoSec, Cyber Risk & Business Ops team - is in the business of trust and reliability. We create, maintain and operate scalable technology and data solutions that deliver an exceptional experience for our internal & external customers.  We embrace Agile principles and values, favor DevOps practices, and view infrastructure as code, all while we create an infrastructure that scales and supports our growth and ambitious vision. This requires a smart, highly collaborative team who can identify, investigate, and implement new technologies to continue securely scaling our global business.

This position
This role is responsible for ongoing engagement with the DocuSign data governing body, documenting data domains, groups within domains, and datasets. and identifying data policy gaps and help in closing them out. This role will be responsible for tuning the data catalog implementation and tracking and reporting out adoption. You will define, design and implement data governance and self service on the data stack. You will define data and reporting strategy, data architecture, help in dimensional modeling and ERD’s of projects in the pipeline as well as standardize data architecture and design with best practices and reviews. You will also participate in tool selection and standardization. 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Principal Data Architect and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Define future state data architectures, platforms and integrations
  • Work with product owners, designers and others on the creation of data architectures, including but not limited to data modeling, taxonomy, data warehousing, ELT automations and data governance
  • Design, execute and monitor data governance functions
  • Conduct collaboration and user feedback sessions to facilitate alignment, inspire empathy, and drive investment in the user journey
  • Manage, run and evaluate aspects of the information architecture program and vision, developing roadmaps, alignment and updated processes to continually improve the BI user experience
  • Independently complete projects and assignments, such as providing data architecture direction to multiple cross-functional teams, and routinely direct, supervise and approve the work of team members
  • Create and share practice standards that can be utilized by team members, helping to grow informational design standards within the team and evangelize to the larger organization
  • Push boundaries to improve user and technical content deliverables and processes across multiple cross-functional teams
  • Develop techniques, practices and resources to help the team improve capabilities 
  • Provide vision and leadership for data architecture discipline

Basic qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 12+ years of work experience in reporting, BI, data warehousing for corporate functions
  • Experience leading information architecture as part of large, cross-functional teams supporting development of major enterprise cloud or SaaS products, features and services
  • Experience executing large scale programs to implement and maintain architectures involving OLTP, OLAP and Data Warehousing
  • 5+ years of experience in leading data strategy engagements involving the architecture of modern data platforms
  • Understanding of the information security standards and how to design the information architecture per guidelines

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $147,800 - $208,775 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits at https://www.docusign.com/company/benefits
