Role Purpose

The PowerBI developer is responsible for the development of new business reporting views from the Enterprise Data Platform, working closely with business stakeholders to define and implement business reports. You will work as part of a team with Data and Application Architects, Data Engineers, and Database Administrators to deliver reports supporting operational functions across the business. You will be heavily involved in the migration of existing reports from our legacy platforms to our new Enterprise Data Platform, working with data sources and stakeholders from across the business.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining visual reports and dashboards via Power BI desktop.
• Creating and maintaining Power BI datasets to ensure consistent data use through report landscape, and to empower colleagues to customise their own reports.
• Migration of legacy reporting processes to Azure analysis service.
• Build and develop pipelines to ensure implementations are automated in line with IT procedures
• Build relationships with the current team and work in partnership with colleagues on delivering to requirements.
• Proactively search for data and performance issues and collaborate with the wider team to create solutions

Requirements

• Power BI or similar BI reporting solutions
• Microsoft SQL and Azure analysis service
• Proficiency in DAX
• A good understanding of data modelling and database design
• High attention to detail
• Effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
• You will be analytical in your approach
• Enjoy working under pressure towards tight deadlines
