Data Scientist - Product Team

Our ideal candidate

We are looking for a data scientist with deep knowledge in machine learning and a strong passion for building ML products.

 He/she should have 1-3 years' work experience in the predictive analytics/forecasting space and have solved real-world problems. Candidates with experience in Synthetic data creation and an operational risk modelling or product development would be given preference.

 The role would focus on validating and shaping our anti-money-laundering products by applying machine learning and data science. The candidate would be responsible for:

• Have an excellent understanding of the business problems and map them to the product requirements and features
• Create intelligent datasets to represent the real-world scenarios for product validation
• Build data science tools to validate the product model performance and features
• Come up with innovations for our AML products, build prototypes and test the ideas
• Communicate across teams - Product, Research, Engineering, QA and Sales.

Technical Requirements

 

• Proficiency with Python and the ability to write production-ready codes. Experience in Scala would be a plus
• Big data experience, g. familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, is highly preferred
• Familiarity with SQL or other databases
• Experience with product development is a plus

 

Non-technical Requirements

 

• Very strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong desire to work with start-ups
• Must be a team player
