The team
Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimal financial management, and efficient operations across DocuSign. The team consists of Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue Operations, Investor Relations, and Business Operations. The Finance team partners across all organizations in DocuSign to appropriately allocate resources, inform key business decisions, and facilitate the execution of our operational plans.  

The position 
The  Senior Data Analyst, Revenue Operations Business Analytics role is a new position and will be the first analyst hired to help expand the Rev Ops Business Analytics program. This is a high visibility role with deliverables for senior leaders of DocuSign. The Analyst will be responsible for building dashboards and performing analyses related to monetization strategies, discount approval policy, and discounting behaviors at various levels of the company. A successful Analyst will be an effective problem solver and someone who is comfortable navigating large datasets to extract key insights.

This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Sr. Manager of Business Analytics and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain dashboards in Tableau that track and communicate KPIs to senior leadership
  • Perform risk analyses to right size the rigor of discount approval controls across our product SKUs
  • Build dashboards to help the CFO and VPs across the sales organization understand bookings drivers and discounting behaviors within their divisions
  • Help the Analytics program grow in sophistication and expand in scope beyond servicing the Deal Desk team to servicing the larger Finance organization’s needs
  • Partner with the Global Data team to enrich our data pipelines to capture Salesforce data which does not yet exist in our Snowflake data warehouse
  • Ideate and implement analytics solutions to monitor and preserve the integrity of our discount approval systems
  • Write efficient SQL queries and develop reporting solutions that apply data visualization standards and best practices

Basic qualifications

  • BA/BS in operations research, engineering, mathematics, statistics, information systems, economics, or other quantitative focused field
  • 5+ years of related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years with a Master’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience developing complex SQL (Snowflake, Google BigQuery, etc.) queries and being able to create multi-table joins and use various SQL functions (window functions, aggregation functions, sub queries, common table expressions, etc.)
  • Experience with advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, macros, scenario modeling)
  • Experience with data visualization concepts and tools (Tableau, Looker, Chartio, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience navigating large datasets
  • Experience managing several projects
  • Experience with various statistical analysis concepts

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience with Tableau
  • Experience in a SaaS company, especially within Finance, Rev Ops, Sales Ops, or Deal Desk
  • Salesforce proficiency
  • Prior experience partnering with data engineers to enrich ETL process and create data pipelines

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $93,700 - $128,875 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
