We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help us propose, develop, and improve our core technology and conduct innovative research in applying Machine Learning to different technological challenges.

What will you do?

As trail blazers in the cloud gaming space, we have a variety of problems in need of solutions. Here are a few:

  • Optimize our stream quality and performance for next generation streaming services
  • Work on ML/AI problems as applied to a cloud gaming system
  • Use applied research to propose, design and implement cloud optimizations and improvements
  • Work on designing and improving quality of experience methods to rate a game streaming service
  • Work on video quality assessment metrics

Who are you?

  • You have an advanced degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field. PhD preferred
  • You have 3+ years of experience building ML/AI production systems
  • You have a specialty but also want to learn about other disciplines
  • You have strong and well-formed ideas that are weekly held; you can discuss, listen and participate in passionate debates
  • You keep up with industry trends and will even spin up some tech to test a hunch
  • You can listen to disparate cross-discipline ideas and bring what you've learned into your work
  • You are capable of self-direction and able to create and lead projects
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and shifting contexts
  • You have a strong understanding of behavioral science
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • You have the courage to speak up and take sensible risks
  • You inspire others to achieve excellence

What do you know?

  • Proven experience applying supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques on big data to real-world problems
  • Experience in scaling up smaller projects and sharing work collaboratively across a wider team.
  • Intermediate to Expert status in analyzing extremely large, sophisticated, multi-dimensional data sets with a variety of tools
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of statistical techniques including regressions, cluster analysis test design, non-parametric tests, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Must be able to read and write Python code or some other programming language
  • Some mix of these experiences:
    • Time series analysis and forecasting.
    • Using deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch or Mxnet in real applications.
    • Optimization algorithms and numerical computation.
    • Distributed processing frameworks like Spark and Hadoop.
    • Cloud computing platforms and large web-scale distributed systems.
