Requirements
The Position & Responsibilities:
As a senior engineer working on our Data Science team, you will be responsible for researching, building, and deploying ML models in a variety of contexts to support our AI/ML-driven analytics initiatives. This entails sourcing data, converting data into features, and managing these features and the models that employ them. Experience in research, development and production deployment of models that provide critical business value is a huge plus. As part of the larger ActivTrak team, you will be working closely in a team that is expected to code to scale to hundreds of millions of events per day, leverage our petabyte+ of existing data, and support our 150,000+ users as we disrupt the productivity analytics industry. You will be collaborating with teams across engineering and the business to help provide insights and answers to our customers’ most pressing questions.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience bringing Machine Learning to production at scale
- R&D driven first-principles thinker
- Scrappy data skills: demonstrably strong SQL proficient with Pandas
- Parallel dataframes at scale with Dask or Spark
- Adopts a test-driven software development philosophy
- Values software craftsmanship and quality
- Experience with feature engineering, standardization, versioning and storage
- API design/implementation (e.g. Microservices, REST, etc)
- Professional experience in cloud environments (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
- Docker/Containers, Kubernetes is a plus
- Serverless deployment scenarios is a plus
- Knowledge of SDLC and best practices
- Experience working with CI/CD systems and software source control systems, such as Git
