The RoleOur Data Analytics team is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer / Architect who will lead the design and development of a modern and scalable data platform that will support all enterprise analytical needs. You will be the first data engineer in the team and you will collaborate with Engineering, Product, BI / Analytics, Data Scientists and Business SMEs to architect data solutions on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain a modern and scalable data platform 
• Define how data will be collected, stored, consumed and managed
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, BI / Analytics, Data Scientists and Business SMEs to architect data solutions  
• Build data pipelines using Python / Fivetran / Airflow
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT data processes
• Develop Analytical models using DBT
• Create models and datasets that will support enterprise reporting and analytics
• Identify and perform root-cause analysis of data irregularities and present findings and proposed solutions

About you:

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / Architect
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in designing and implementing a data platform in a cloud environment (GCP/AWS)
• Experience working with data lakes, data warehouses and data marts
• Experience in dimensional modeling (Star / Snowflake Schemas), designing Facts / Dimensions / Snapshots / Aggregates
• Experience in building data pipelines using Python, Fivetran, Airflow, Talend etc.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python and its usage for data processing, making API calls etc.
• Advanced SQL skills 
• Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau
• Nice to have: Experience with data governance, master data management
• Nice to have: Experience with Husbpot / Segment / DBT / Kafka / ElasticSearch / GCP / Github
• Nice to have: Experience working with marketing and sales data
• Experience working in a high growth startup
• Humble, hungry, and smart. A natural sense of curiosity, and an effective problem solver
• Self-sufficient, ready to roll up your sleeves, and not afraid of ambiguity
• Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences
