Description:

  • Understanding of Stellar Cyber’s product in depth;
  • Work with security researchers to transform requirements in threat detection and response to problems in machine learning;
  • Research and adapt machine learning algorithms for threat detection and response;
  • Develop product features and proof-of-concepts for threat detection and response with machine learning algorithms;
  • Continuously evaluate, review, and improve threat detection and response features deployed to customers in terms of accuracy and performance.


Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science with a research focus on machine learning or related fields;
  • At least five years of industry and/or academic experience with outstanding deliverables, including direct business contributions and/or top-tier academic publications;
  • Comprehensive knowledge on various subareas in machine learning and their applications in industry, e.g., time-series analysis, graph learning, natural language processing;
  • Strong engineering skills including design and implementation of efficient machine learning algorithms and pipelines for the big data platform;
  • Experience with open-source machine learning libraries and/or custom machine learning pipelines;
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and applications of machine learning in cybersecurity is a plus;
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to keep up with new technologies and tools;
  • Proficient in text-based communication (e.g., Slack) and can succinctly write technical documentation.
