About the role: 

The Technology Operations team is currently seeking a Analyst Data Engineering to join them on a Monday-Friday roster based at Perth. Reporting to the Superintendent Data & Integration Platforms, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines supporting the Data Platform team in delivering efficient and reliable flow of data according to the priority and requirements of Roy Hill.  

You will strive to understand various operational domains and understand how technology can support the work of the business, along with helping to develop ideas for business process improvement. 

 
Duties: 

• Collaborate with end users and business analysts to ensure data pipelines are developed to meet requirements. 

• Proactively engage key decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals.  

• Assist in workshops, interviews, and data analysis to contribute to business & functional requirements collection.  

• Assist in creating unit test scripts as well as collaborating with end users for UAT 

• Maintain accurate documentation and training material related to the data platform. 

• Provide peer review at design and development stages to assist in quality assurance  

Skills and Experience: 

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent experience.  

• Moderate experience as a data engineer or as an advanced level data analyst 

• Moderate experience in data modelling specifically Kimball methods 

• Experience with data visualisation tools preferably Power BI 

• Proven experience in iterative development
