We’re Future. We’re 3000+ colleagues over 250+ brands speaking to 400 million people every month across the globe through websites, events and magazines. We haven’t just survived over the past couple of years, we’ve thrived, increasing our audience share, taking more number one positions, acquiring new businesses and launching new brands.

And we don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

We’ve got ambitious plans that build on our growth momentum and unlock new opportunities and we’re looking for talented people who want to be a part of it.

We’re looking for an experienced data specalist researcher to join our Research Team in Australia. This is an exciting new role to the business, as we have made the decision to bring this in house, instead of outsourcing the responsibility, for the first time, we want to take complete ownership. This is a commercially-focused role responsible for the design and execution of quantitative research to support a range of internal business stakeholders. The Research Team currently supports our Mozo business, a banking, insurance and household services comparison site for Australians, and is in the process of extending its services to other personal finance brands across the Future group including GoCompare in the UK.

The Research Team predominantly deals with two types of information:

  • The details of banking, insurance and other products; these are used on our consumer websites, offered to industry participants as a competitor product comparison service, and used to judge our in-house Experts Choice Awards;
  • Consumer survey responses; these are used to generate stories for our PR and Content teams, and are used to determine our People’s Choice Awards.

Job Purpose

  • You will have primary day-to-day hands-on responsibility for the consumer survey aspects of the team. This covers the end-to-end process including questionnaire design, scripting, panel provider liaison, in-field monitoring and the analysis of results.
  • A key responsibility is the execution of the recurring brand satisfaction surveys that underpin our Mozo People’s Choice Awards, as well as the equivalent programs for our UK and US brands. You will support internal stakeholders to extend these programs, improve our processes and extend the usefulness of the data.
  • You will work closely with our Sydney PR and Content Teams, to generate consumer-focussed story ideas and then to execute the consumer surveys required to support them.
  • You will also work with other internal teams in the US or UK as required, to produce survey results for their PR, Content or Advertorial work.
  • You will establish a consumer survey playbook for the business, documenting how we do things. You will liaise with other researchers in the global business to develop a shared best practice and to identify collaboration opportunities.

Requirements

  • Good experience in the end-to-end execution of consumer surveys
  • Solid grounding in survey design and statistical concepts
  • The ability to work solo, own and drive your projects to completion
  • The ability to generate story ideas that can be supported by survey findings
  • Skills in an analytical programming language R, SQL, Python

Benefits

As well as our standard benefits, we have a number of awesome perks available to our staff including:

  • You'll get to launch your career at one of the world's fastest-growing media companies and be mentored by experts from all areas of digital publishing including editorial, social media and advertising.
  • A share in our success - every member of staff receives a profit pool bonus at the end of our financial year
  • Flexibility to work from home two days a week
  • Additional 3 days annual leave over Christmas period on top of our 20 days
  • Free digital magazine subscriptions and access to back copies of our print magazines and bookazines
