Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d*)

In order to continue the healthy growth of our company, we are currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d*) who will play a major role in enabling our data science and machine learning teams to help drive the growth of our product.

Wunderflats has many ML products built into the platform. We are looking to take these products to the next stage where they offer an unbeatable experience for our users. You will be part of that effort especially in developing the ranking and validation frameworks. You’ll have an opportunity to get hands on building world class ML infrastructure and transform into a full stack ML Ninja.

This is a permanent role on a full-time basis, based in Berlin with an option for remote working (+/- 1 hour from CET).

YOUR MISSION

• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to help optimize our recommendation engine and ranking algorithms
• Use advanced statistical methods to identify opportunities for Wunderflats across various functions to drive increased use of the platform
• Communicate complex findings to multi-disciplinary teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Research 
• Develop validation frameworks for new, experimental features and business opportunities

YOUR PROFILE

• You have 4+ years experience within a similar position, where you developed models in production
• Experience with Ranking algorithms and/or Recommender Systems
• Experience with ensemble learning algorithms (Random Forest, XGBoost)
• Experience with Google Cloud (BigQuery) or other public cloud providers
• You are a first-principles thinker understanding the assumptions and tradeoffs that come with each solution
• Ability to ask business relevant questions and find the answers to them in datasets with Jupyter notebooks
• Proficient in Python and basic software engineering practices (version control, testing, code reviews)
