Senior Associate-Data Engineering

Your Role:

You will be responsible to grow the strategic Data Engineering function within the GTM Ops team. The role requires you to have extensive knowledge of the data warehouse architecture, capabilities, system setup, Postgre, SQL, and other back-end relational architectures. 

A Day In Life:

• Experience in writing SQL server stored procedures, functions, joins, scripting, and queries - 
• Good in understanding business logic and effective in designing entity relations and DB structure
• Effective in query optimization and performance tuning
• Manage version control of DB objects
• Quick and adaptive in understanding data and providing relevant solutions
• Create APIs for various functions to support front-end applications
• Work with Agile teams on various delivery items throughout the software development lifecycle of a particular project
• Create stored procedures, online and batch modules, for data transformation layers
• 4 years of proven hands-on experience in data integration, data warehouse, BI solution design, development, and implementation
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in at least one relational data source such as Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre and Data warehouse applications.
• Experience with SQL Server Database, Database optimization strategies, query plan analysis
• Experience in Job Scheduling tools
• Proven expertise in writing efficient advanced and analytical SQL and Unix shell scripts.
• Extensive knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of data warehousing and data marts
• Expert grasp of data warehouse design techniques including, aggregation, partitioning, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with multiple software development methodologies, e.g. Agile, iterative, waterfall.
• Experience in uncovering requirements, conceptualizing solutions, and developing a framework for implementation of a data warehouse, data mart, or data web on at least one other project or work assignment
• Possess a thorough understanding of the data, sources of data, and relationships of data

What You Need:

• 3-5 years of experience with Hands-on experience in writing SQL, Stored Procs and Performance Tuning
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL API scripting and Power BI
• Strong hands-on experience in Python
• Strong knowledge of Python web frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Event-Driven programming in Python
