The Insights Team is responsible for analyzing primary and secondary data provided by clients or secondary sources to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of various client tactics.  The Insights Analyst supports the account team through regular and ad hoc reporting and provides value added ideas and recommendations for future efforts. 

What you will do:

  • Perform data analyses on various topics, from determination of analysis goals to delivery of key insights and conclusions.  Work with manager to develop recommendations to improve future tactics and keep the client on strategy.
  • Prepare specific deliverables, such as presentations, graphs, reports and dashboards, on a regular or ad hoc basis using software tools provided.
  • Help prepare content for client meetings and attend client meetings as necessary (may be in person or virtual).
  • Work directly with other departments, such as Client Partnership, Project Management, Data Platforms, and Media, on developing effective and efficient solutions to client needs.
  • Provide reporting on industry and competitive trends as needed.
  • Develop an understanding of the client, the client’s customer and the client’s strategic goals as well as how marketing plans will accomplish the goals.
  • Identify new ideas and opportunities for analytic projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Background and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.  Must know the fundamentals of marketing and advertising. 
  • 1-4 years experience with marketing, consumer insights, web analytics and/or data analysis.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail a must.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office products, especially Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Datorama, Tableau or PowerBI, a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Alteryx, and other languages/tools to help with data mining considered to be a plus, but not required. 
  • Digital reporting in a site analytics platform such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • An inherent sense of curiosity.
