The Data Operations Manager is accountable for the successful delivery and ongoing support of database services that comprise the Ansira Edge Technology Suite. Supervising a small team of developers and application database administrators, the ideal candidate will bring creativity to institute repeatable and scalable services while maintaining operational excellence. Prior expertise with SQL Server applications is essential and experience with Azure applications is needed to define and integrate data sources required for channel partner marketing programs. The position will closely collaborate with software engineering, product management, and client partners to exceed client expectations when delivering solutions. The selected candidate will report to the Vice President, Data Platforms, and be part of a broader management team responsible for data-driven solutions across Ansira.

What you will do:

• Oversees delegation of daily workflow.
• Identifies and implements standards, controls, and SLAs for monitoring database management functions including data ingress & egress activity.
• Acts as the escalation point to resolve data-related issues that impact the team.
• Defines and maintains team goals that align with strategic initiatives and roadmap plans. 
• Partner with product management and software engineering to support ongoing development and participate in release planning, training, and hand-off of new releases.
• Collaborate with client partner teams to adopt consistent processes for managing client requests.
• Ensures integrity of database systems by developing, documenting, and enforcing security procedures in partnership with Information Security and Architecture team.
• Prepare reports for management as needed.
• Ensures staff has the necessary tools and training to perform their duties and recruits new hires as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Systems Management, or related field or equivalent in training and experience.
• 3+ years of managing database technology operations and leading developers and DBAs.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with database management applications including:
• Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2016 or higher).
• ETL/data integration tools (SSIS, Matillion, MuleSoft).
• T-SQL stored procedures and scripting (e.g. PowerShell).
• Familiarity with using cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake) with a preference for Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is desired by utilizing tools such as Jira.
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Azure DevOps).
• Experience leading people through transformation initiatives and influencing teams not under direct supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, strategic thinking, and solution-oriented.
• Self-motivated with effective decision-making skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills; highly detail-oriented.
• Effective time management and ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
• Prior work with a marketing agency is ideal and experience with channel partner marketing solutions will be a differentiate
