Data Analyst

• BitSight is the most widely used Security Ratings Service with over 2,500 customers and the largest ecosystem of users and information

This role is part of the Security Analytics Team within the Data Science Team. The role will mainly support Thought Leadership by exploring datasets, conducting insightful data analysis and generating intuitive visualizations. The role will also help multiple internal stakeholders understand datasets, patterns and trends.

What you’ll do:

• Interact with large and/or complex datasets, leverage data analytics and visualization methods and to reveal stories about our datasets..
• Use your innate curiosity to not just answer existing questions, but raise your own questions, deeply explore the data and suggest new ways of looking at it.
• Collaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders. 
• Help craft, enrich and use data to back up analyses that go into slides, reports, blog posts and white papers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with
• Data analytics, data science, or a related field
• SQL
• Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
• Python and, pandas or equivalent in R
• (Preferred) Big data storage and computation (e.g., Amazon S3 and EMR, PySpark)
• Strong written/verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders in a remote work environment.
• Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage and prioritize  multiple requests.
• (Preferred) Cybersecurity familiarity
