Data Scientist

Two Six Technologies is looking for a full time Data Scientist to join our team where we create technology to address human security challenges. We built the Pulse Platform to address some of the most urgent human security issues faced by the world’s most vulnerable populations, specifically transnational crime, human trafficking, and global extremism. Our Pulse Platform is used to interact with populations around the world to provide insight into their thinking and engage them in two-way conversations. Pulse also provides access to publicly available information across the surface, deep, and dark web and social media to provide a robust view of the Information Environment from baseline through assessment.

Overview: This is a customer facing data scientist role in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading data science customer delivery and influencing analytic strategy
• Working autonomously to create boutique solutions to customer problems
• Building data science literacy across a large team
• Engaging customers to find new opportunities to develop data science products
• Presenting advanced analytics to customers in an easy to understand format such as visualizations

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience with Python programming language (Intermediate-level or higher)
• 2+ years experience with Data visualization
• Experience with common Machine Learning libraries (PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
• Experience consulting, mentoring, teaching, or coaching
• Experience with scoping and planning data science projects

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with Natural Language Processing, Geocoding, and/or Data Engineering

Security Clearance Requirement

• Eligibility to obtain a government clearance if required/needed.
• Active TS/SCI is preferred.
