Solution Engineer/ Data Scientist

We are looking for a talented Solutions Engineer/ Data Scientist to join our team at Prominent Edge. We are a small company of 24+ developers and designers who put themselves in the shoes of our customers and make sure we deliver strong solutions. Our projects and the needs of our customers vary greatly; therefore, we always choose the technology stack and approach that best suits the particular problem and the goals of our customers. Responsibilities:- Create search and automation capability to enable geospatial analysis of ca variety of data types and data sources. - Develop tools using a range of scripting/programming languages for real world challenges - Understand high level operational/geospatial processes.
Minimum requirements: - Active TS/SCI w/ CI polygraph. - BS/BA in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Engineering.; 4 years of experience can replace degree. - 3 to 10 years of technical experience programming, geospatial analysis, design, and/or application development. - 3 or more years of experience performing ETL, data extraction, manipulation, and visualization using any programming or scientific languages - 3 or more years of presenting findings from statistical/ML methods through written and verbal communication. - Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, R, and/or Java - Able to work with a distributed team. - Effective communications skills.
Desired qualifications: - Familiar with GIS tools - Spark, Hadoop, Hive - Open-source software - Experience working on federal gov efforts - Military/intelligence analyst experience
