Toyota Motor Corporation has been involved in a variety of technological development such as robotics and energy technologies, as well as automobile technologies. Toyota is already particularly strong in hardware and we will create additional value by developing new software on top of it.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are looking to grow our team in the area of video management system (VMS) to develop vision AI platform. Building on state-of-the-art research in computer vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence, we seek to develop the next generation of tools and systems that leverage scene and human behavior understanding. This position is responsible for building and the administration of VMS and the associated devices including cameras across the Woven City. This includes the configuration of servers and field equipment, maintenance of the system directory database and device configuration, maintaining the overall availability, ongoing maintenance and upgrade of this system. Moreover this requires the knowledge of camera specifications and need to select the good camera devices for our use cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install VMS using a large number of cameras on cloud.
• Manage the operational performance of VMS and its supporting devices (cameras and storage, etc.)
• Act as system administrator of VMS
• Maintain the necessary certifications, across the systems capabilities to optimize overall system performance and functionality
• Work to optimize use of network bandwidth and storage while meeting operational requirements
• Provide input into camera location and ability of camera images to meet operational requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience in a physical security systems integration, physical security systems including video surveillance or security technology/administrator role
• Working knowledge of surveillance cameras and video transmission protocols
• Good understanding of networking principles and protocols
• Experience of security settings for video streaming services
• 3+ years of experience in Linux system
• Communication skills, both verbal and written in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience of XProtect (VMS from Milestone Systems)
• Experience of Cloud Environments such as AWS / Azure / GCP
• Experience of architecture design and operation management for large-scale number of cameras
• Experience of development tool and environment (GIT, Docker, k8s  etc.)
• Software development experience in C++ or Python
• Experience of computer vision
