Data Engineer/Data Integration Specialist (176)

As a Data Engineer/Data Integration Specialist, you will work closely with solution architects, business analysts, and product owners to understand data and business processes and work on development activities. You will design and develop custom workflows using Java, Python, or other languages and develop large scale data pipelines.

Requirements

• Experience with Data Modeling and Data Validation
• Produce and develop detailed MDM integration design specifications, develop custom mapping functions and customization to the data tier of MDM Hub
• Design and develop custom workflows using Java or Python
• Develop large scale data pipelines exposing data sources
• Develop REST APIs utilizing AWS Lambda and API Gateway
• Develop Spark streaming and batch jobs to clean and transform data
• Write build automation to deploy and manage cloud resources
• Write unit and integration tests
• Identify and analyze business requirements and functional design, and translate requirements to technical specifications
• Conduct MDM integrations unit tests and code reviews
• Data Lake /Delta Lake strategy
• Develop AWS CLOUD-NATIVE applications
• Data Integration, Data Quality data architecture, and Master Data Management project life cycle, best practice
• Experience in building robust data integration pipelines
• Must have experience with Agile and Integration Solution Development

Education:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computing Engineering; additional experience/certifications may be considered in place of education

Additional Requirements:

• Experience supporting government customers

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload based on the needs of the client
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent technical writing skills and proven experience in systems with complex requirements
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to team with others to meet project objectives
• Understanding of the system development lifecycle as implemented with Agile; SAFe knowledge a plus

THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
