Data Engineer

Do you have a passion for working hands-on with data? You’d like to work with a highly talented international team? Do you have strong experience with data engineering and have been dreaming about getting your hands dirty by writing highly scalable data processing code and creating data pipelines? 
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Europe, building the success story for one of the famous education organisations operating worldwide. 
One more thing… This position can be both office-based and remote and or based anywhere in Serbia.

Key Abilities:

• Experience with Python
• Fluency in SQL
• About 2-3 years of hands-on experience with both Python and SQL
• Deep interest in data projects and how to run them at scale 
• Understanding and some experience with data pipelines, ELT vs ETL 

It’s great if you have:

• Experience with one of the following: Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse
• Knowledge of data warehouse development
• Experience with event-based modelling and stream processing
• Familiarity with cloud databases (preferably AWS, GCP or Azure) 

Responsibilities:

• Build and automate data pipelines
• Data modelling and query performance-tuning;
• Automated testing, CI/CD
• Integration of external data sources
