The Role/What you’ll do

• Supervise and conduct research of AI models in a variety of topics
• Task definition for application of machine learning for the field of Artificial Intelligence in Education(AIED)
• Find and suggest state of the art ML paradigms to develop machine learning models for existing and new tasks in AIED(Knowledge Tracing, Score prediction, essay scoring, question generation, course recommendation et al)
• Overview the evaluation of models for fair and scientific validation of performance
• Review and improve quality of code for machine learning deployment
• Communication of AI models with relevant parties(sales, marketing, public relations)

What you’ll work on

• Phone/Web Based AI powered tutor applications that support and enhance a student’s education.
• AI SaaS platforms supporting educators' efforts to enhance education for students in and out of the classroom.
• AI API integration projects to assist organizations with optimizing their workforce development, corporate training, and online learning systems.

What you bring to Riiid Labs

• Ph.D. or 7 + years of experience in research & development
• Publication records in relevant conferences (e.g. AIED, EDM, LAK, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, etc).Hands-on experience working with deep learning toolkits such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Strong mathematical skills in linear algebra and statistics
• Ability to formulate a research problem, design, experiment, implement and communicate solutions.
• Ability to work in a diverse collaborative environment.
• Proven record leading a team, 2~6 members
