AWS seeks an experienced Business Intelligence & Data Engineering Leader to join its fast-growing Customer Information Management Team (Global Business Ops). This leader will be based at our Seattle HQ, reporting into the Director of Customer Information Management for Global Business Operations, and manage teams in multiple locations around the world including TPMs, BI analysts and Data Engineers.
An ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience managing multiple internal customer-facing teams, experience in heterogeneous technologies in the BI/DW space and will be capable of technical deep-dives. Continue to scale our data warehouse infrastructure as our data volume continue to increase and our business use cases continue to expand. This leader will partner with our data consumers to evangelize and drive our vision towards an intelligent data warehouse.
In addition to analyses and business insights, you will be responsible for the overall data architecture strategy which will include how we provide our business partners timely, flexible and structured access to business data. Your team will build a visualization tools roadmap and pertinent data warehouse solutions that will be used for weekly/monthly reporting and drive business decisions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using both third-party and in-house reporting tools, modeling metadata, building reports and dashboards, and administering the platform software in order to create a culture where data and analytics are the foundation for a solid decision making process. Your focus should include a strong penchant for automation and the widespread application of Machine Learning across multiple business processes.

Basic Qualifications


· Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
· Experience with relevant technologies and of enterprise class systems implementations, such as large data warehouse, ETL, BI
· 5-10 years of experience leading experience managing an Analytics, Business Intelligence or Data Engineering team.
· Strong data modeling skills and excellent knowledge of Strong analytical skills with excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL and PL/SQL.
· Project management skills and an ability to drive multiple initiatives against tight deadlines.
· Strong understanding of scaling, performance and scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

· A strong desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
· The candidate's previous experience should also include exposure to very large databases, knowledge in OLAP, and BI tools.
· Understanding of Big Data technologies and solutions in AWS.
· The ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely through big data analysis. Experience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines are necessary skills.
· Experience with OBIEE, AWS QuickSight, AWS Redshift and Tableau is preferred.
· 10+ years, with demonstrated management experience. Able to coach and lead others effectively.
· Able to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively across organizational boundaries.
· Passionate about scalable and future-proof processes, systems and data analytics.
