Data Engineer for Video Editing Automation (F/M/X)

Your mission:

Your role is crucial to the renewal of our data architecture. You will be responsible for...

- the R&D of the data management ecosystem (Curiosity is a must!)

- Providing support to Applied Scientists / MLE on data workflows/processes

- Designing, implementing, deploying, and orchestrating data pipelines (ETL, transfer, ML, ingestion)

- Monitoring and maintaining data pipelines (ETL, transfer, ML, ingestion)

- Defining CI/CD plan for data pipelines if necessary

- Participating in Data Model design and managing the data lifecycle

- Setting up infrastructure for data pipeline executions

You will work closely with:

- A Cloud Engineer / SRE to create a scalable and reliable production environment for data pipelines

- A Machine Learning Engineer to integrate **ML-powered software into global data pipelines

- An Applied Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer on global code quality and optimization of ML projects

- An Applied Scientist, checking the correctness of data pipelines and output

- Software Engineers and Data Scientists (previously Data Analysts) on ETL, data transfers, and other data-related software industrialization

Technical Stack:

• Languages: SQL, Python, and Bash
• Data Hosting: AWS
• Databases: Redshift, Kinesis Stream, Kinesis Firehose, Aurora Mysql, ElasticSearch, ElasticCache-Redis, S3, Glue, Athena, etc.
• Jobs Orchestration: Airflow
• Automation: Terraform & Ansible
• CI/CD : Gitlab

Example of deliverables :

- A data pipeline managing data from sources to final destinations

- Data storage solution and data management services

- R&D on new deployment plans (Curiosity is a must!)

- Updated versions of internal Python libraries

Profile:

We are not looking for the perfect candidate mastering all the following skills but for people who love to learn and share with others. The idea is to have all this knowledge as a team.

• Master’s degree in Computer Sciences from an Engineering School or University (Bac +5)
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering (after graduation, not during internships or apprenticeships)
• Background using SQL and Python and/or Scala
• Experience working on distributed systems such as Apache Spark
• Experience working on different databases (relational and non-relational). MongoDB is a plus.
• It is a plus if you have already worked on Job Orchestration using Airflow.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize effectively
• Fluency in English & French.
