Senior Data Analyst

At network perception we analyze computer networks for compliance and security related issues. To do this we ingest critical utilities data from network equipment and network scanners. Each vendor has a different data format that needs to be normalized for use within our system, so a big part of your impact will come from managing the end-to-end usage of data through the NP system.

Responsibilities

• Act as our data SME and document our available data from each source
• Lead our research efforts into new data sources and recommend best usage
• Assist with the development of the data definitions and usages
• Work with our Data Engineering Team Lead to implement data governance standards
• Work with our Engineering and Data Science team with innovation around data usage
• Work with our QA team on data validation where consumed (API / UI)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in IT/Math/Quantitative discipline.
• Experience with data mapping and schema management.
• Experience implementing Data Governance standards.
• Exposure to testing data for data warehouses and data integration solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and productively under pressure.
• Understanding of computer networking and network configuration is a big plus.
• Familiarity with Python is a plus but not required. Eagerness to learn it if not familiar would be beneficial.
