Job Summary 

At Urbint, the machine learning team does not work on making consumers spend more or on maximizing clicks. That is all fine; we work on reducing carbon emissions, reducing infrastructure risk and avoiding fatalities.  We find meaning and excitement solving these problems, and we hope you do, too.   

Responsibilities

Data cleaning and processing, including reviewing raw data, evaluating data quality, cleaning data and filtering out useful information and conducting exploratory analysis of the data. Machine learning modeling including feature engineering, developing machine learning algorithms, model iteration based on client’s validation data, building project structures and writing python modules. Meeting with technical staff of clients and providing support and solutions for any issues clients might have with utilizing data sets, or information extracted from data through the Urbint platform.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Urban Science and Informatics, Spatial Analytics, Data Science or a related field, plus one year of experience working with Python or R; one year of experience creating machine learning algorithms; one year of experience working with data visualization tools and techniques; and one year of experience working with AutoML technologies.
