Waracle is looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our friendly Digital Health team. You will be responsible for expanding our data architecture and building data systems from the ground up.

The Data Engineer will help shape the future of our machine learning platform and have a strong background with Azure cloud platform. You will be an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who is comfortable adding new components and optimising existing components in large data platforms. This role involves working in a highly technical team, supported by our software developers, architects, data analysts and data scientists.

We pride ourselves in our remote first ethos, so this role can be on a fully remote basis from anywhere in the UK. We also have 4 tech hubs (London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee) if you are looking for a more hybrid approach. 

Requirements

• Strong experience using Python to ingest, transform, and publish large and varied datasets.

• Knowledge of Data specific libraries such as Pandas, PyMongo, Seaborn or similar.

• Demonstrable knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

• Strong technical experience and understanding of data processing principles and architectures.

• Competent communicator, able to liaise with both engineers and stakeholders.

• Ability to document and diagram all technical implementations.
