We are looking to add a talented Senior Software Engineer (C++) to our Autonomy Research team. You will help build and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models for planning, decision making, and motion prediction. As a software engineer, you will help design, implement, and test machine learning models that drive our car, as well as related metrics, visualization, and data infrastructure. Your software engineering and data analytics experience will inform your pragmatic approach to making a more intelligent autonomous vehicle. Does this sound like you?

What you’ll be doing:

  • Dive into data to understand a) how our car should drive, and b) how other road users (e.g., pedestrians, bicyclists, and other cars) interact with us
  • Help deploy ML models on our self-driving car
  • Relentlessly drive ideas from conception to on-car impact
  • Help implement and evaluate a variety of ML models (planning, motion prediction)
  • Define, implement, and visualize performance metrics
  • Build continuous learning pipelines to automate model improvement

What we’re looking for:

  • MS or BS in computer science or related fields
  • 2+ years professional work experience as a software engineer using C++
  • Strong experience in data structure and algorithms
  • Strong software design skills
  • Experience with Git, docker and CI/CD tools

Bonus points (but not required):

  • Experience using common Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms (e.g., for classification, regression, and clustering)
  • Experience developing autonomous vehicles or robots
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience in multi-threaded programming

Why you should join us:

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $172,020/year + bonus + equity + benefits
