Director of Data Infra

 About the Opportunity

The Cloud Platform group is a rapidly growing group, responsible to build and maintain state of the art Infrastructure to support Transmit Security vastly growing SaaS services. 

As we see data to be core to our success, and inherent in every SaaS offering we provide, we are looking for a Director of Data Infra to build and grow our expertise in this field. 

This role is a combination of technology leadership, management and hands-on work.   

Responsibilities

•   Building the Data Infra team including both DevOps skills, BE development and ETL skills
•   Leading cross-department data related projects, and implementation of new data technologies
•   Overall production data system responsibility - data architecture, health and performance monitoring and troubleshooting
•   Building and maintaining high-performance, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed software systems
•   Continuance improvement of processes and procedures

Desired skills:

•   Good knowledge and understanding of different data technologies (MongoDB, Redis, BigQuery)
•   Managerial experience of development and DevOps teams
•   Hands on experience working with open source software technologies
•   Ability to coordinate and manage implementation of new technologies in the organization
•   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
