As the first Senior Data Engineer at Posh, you’ll be the champion of our data platform. You will work closely with our Analytics team, maintaining and improving our database design and architecture as well as the pipelines necessary to stream data to the data warehouse. You will be responsible for managing our data infrastructure as our team scales, with an eye to data integrity, proper handling of sensitive data, and minimizing data loss during outages. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience developing and executing ETL pipelines to migrate data from various formats 
  • Ability to work with SQL datastores and big data platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to spearhead and develop a data governance framework for a rapidly scaling organization
  • Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on projects of varying size; shows commitment to tasks, project, and to the team
  • Excellent communication skills and an aptitude for analytics to set our analysts and business as a whole up for success

Nice-to-haves based on Posh’s infrastructure:

  • Typescript/Python Knowledge
  • Message broker / event streams /event driven architecture knowledge
  • Managing and deployment of microservices on Kubernetes
  • Experience with GCP and services such as BigQuery / PubSub
