Data Engineer

The Position

KAYAK is looking for a Data Engineer to be part one of our Architect team in Kaunas. Our team is constantly iterating, designing, and coding our way to excellence. We're building the compelling user experiences that keep our product ahead of the competition. Responsibilities

• Build reliable Python tools for transform, parse, clean, combine, and process data;
  
• Design, implement high-volume data pipelining and orchestration platforms;

Requirements

• 3+ years strong Python programming experience;
  
• Strong SQL knowledge;
  
• Experience in data modeling;

Plus

• 1+ years industry in a data engineering or related role;
  
• Knowledge of Python frameworks/libraries like Django, Flask, Pandas. 
  

Compensation

Engineer’s salary consists of three parts:
Base part: when joining us early in your career your salary may start from 1050 EUR neto (after paying tax). Being more experienced, your base salary may be up to 2400 EUR neto (after paying tax) for this position.
In addition:
- significant yearly bonuses approx 10 percent annual salary;
- Booking Holdings RSU (Restricted Stock Units) package, worth 20.000 USD (before taxes) with possibility to get it every year.

Salary range provided is not final and will be discussed during the process based on your skills and experience.
