Data Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Design and implement real-time data processing pipelines using Spark Streaming.
• Collaborate with Firmware Engineers and Product Leads to determine the data to be transmitted by IoT devices.
• Work closely with the Engineering teams to help develop engineering models to predict accurate SOC, SOH etc.
• Work closely with the Business and Engineering teams to extract actionable insights and translate these into functional dashboards.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of data flows and storage solutions. We have millions of data points streamed every hour. This requires innovative implementations to make streaming work at a scale at a lower cost.
• Engage in continuous improvement of data handling, processing, and visualisation techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Internship experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies, preferably Spark Streaming is a plus.
• Knowledge in Python or in similar programming languages for scripting and model building.
• Strong SQL skills for data transformations.
• Experience in building and maintaining dashboards for business analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
