To support this vision, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Applied Machine Learning to help lead our Analytics Product Teams as they work to empower our customers with capabilities that shorten their time to action within our flagship SaaS product, Calabrio One. In this role you will be responsible for bringing ML algorithms to life within our product and will build and own the entire MLOps pipeline.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Contribute to the development and support of a cloud-hosted SaaS application
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering management to build the right things, the right way to maximize the value we deliver to our customers
  • Support the development of a best-in-class engineering team by reinforcing engineering best practices through code reviews, solution design, and leading by example
  • Partner with architecture to produce solutions that are models of performance, scalability, and extensibility

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience with deep expertise in at least one modern language such as Java, C#, or Python
  • 1+ years of experience using common ML and Data Science tools and frameworks (i.e. NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Amazon SageMaker, etc.) to train and deploy ML algorithms in a production environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and tools (security, coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, SQL and operations)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills on both technical and non-technical topics

Preferred experience:

  • Significant experience building scalable and reliable cloud-hosted SaaS solutions on AWS or other major cloud
  • Experience leading software projects with influence over key technical decisions
  • Pragmatic experience with data-driven and customer centric development practices
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of data store (relational, document, key/value, time series), message queue, and stream processing technologies
